Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent, old time example of acanthite with amethyst from Canada!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of gemmy, grape purple amethyst crystals in association with calcite and quartz that serves as a matrix for a complex cluster of acanthite crystals!!! The acanthite is well formed with sharply defined!!! Upon close examination one can find a few scattered areas of native silver in association with the acanthite as well!!! This specimen retains an old label from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum with Robert Goodell Collection notation!!! This specimen is WAY better than the pictures show!!!
